What we build
Five kinds of work, usually on the same site. We can take one of them or the whole park.
Public open space
Open Spaces Collective builds public open space for councils and state government: parks, reserves, foreshores and plazas, delivered as one contract that covers earthworks, paths, walls, lighting, furniture, native planting and the establishment period after handover.
Hard landscaping
Open Spaces Collective delivers hard landscaping for public spaces: retaining walls in sandstone, block and gabion, steps and ramps, paving, edging, seating walls and the installation of shelters and furniture.
Native planting and revegetation
Open Spaces Collective plants native garden beds, grasslands and revegetation for public land, growing stock with Aralumbin Nursery and the planned Namabunda Farm nursery on Bundjalung Country, and carrying the establishment period so plantings survive past handover.
Pathways and shared paths
Open Spaces Collective builds pathways for public land: concrete and asphalt shared paths, footpaths, decomposed granite and gravel trails, boardwalks, and accessible routes with compliant grades, landings and kerb ramps.
Park and path lighting
Open Spaces Collective installs lighting for parks, paths and public spaces: pole and bollard lighting, feature and tree uplighting, and solar options, with conduit and footings built in alongside the paths they light.
